For sale a fully restored 1965 Heinkel Trojan Bubble Car originally built in croydon 6000 miles 1 Owner
I am now selling part of my collection of classic cars this fantastic example was found in a barn down south around 5 years ago it was used by a lady for around 2 years and then put in to a barn and dry stored until it was found.
I then purchased it from the finder and began to restore it first it was striped to a bare shell and then sent away to ribble technology limited, where the full body of the car was was put through a gentle paint removal and dipping process and then rinsed in a phosphate solution removing any contamination stopping formation of flash rust then baked before being electrostatic primed.
Then it was back to me it came back like a new shell no holes or pitting just a couple of dents so i repaired all dents sanded down the full shell inside and out and then it had 3 coats of 2k primer and left for a week or two while i was working on other projects, once back on it i dry sanded and and applied 2 x coats of 2k wet on wet primer and 2 x coats of red under coat and left again, next step a full wet blocking down and 3 more coats of red inside outside and underneath then flatted and polished to a very high quality finish.
While this was going on the engine was being rebuilt by Garry Longstaff Heinkle club technical adviser then to the rebuild it was treated to a custom made wiring loom, a full set custom made windows, window rubbers, new head lights, side trims, number plates, s/ steel bumper bars, new fold back roof, all suspension breaks etc and seats and rear cushion fully trimmed in correct tartan from Heinkel club along with all other new parts also supplied from owners club. And seat frames have been powder coated and I have been told by owners club that this is the only one they have ever seen with the correct and original silver side and rear interior trim absolutely thousands spent with all receipts and photo album of renovation. this is a real show piece for any collector
