1981 Austin Mini 1000 in very rare colour. It has been owned by the same family from new and has covered just 13100 miles in 39 years. It has aways been garaged and as a result to my eye has all of its original paint. Naturally after 39 years this would seam unlikely but the uniform paint finish, texture and colour give me the feeling that it is original. I have just refreshed the paint under the arches and sills which looks great and gives it a sharp look. The body condition is remarkable as is the interior. The original brown deep weave carpets are in time warp condition. The seats, dashboard and controls all reflect the garaged nature of the car and low usage over the years. Storing a car inside stops materials from fading and keeps the inside dry. It drives very well and the engine runs quietly. It has just had 4 new tyres, a service and MOT.
