We are facilitating the sale of this unique Fiat on behalf of a customer.
History of this car
According to the 124 Sport Coupe Registro, our car is the 6th oldest surviving example. Our Fiat was first registered in Enna, Sicily in August 1967, specified in the stylish colour combination of Blu Turchese over a Cielo interior.
As a very early production example, our car is fitted with a four speed transmission and the torque tube rear axle, which in combination with the rear sway bar unique to the early cars, gives the chassis outstanding balance and composure with great handling.
Remaining a low ownership and mileage cherished vehicle, it was exported to the UK in 2017 by the current owner.
The condition of this car is exceptionally original. It is the only Fiat from this era we have seen which still wears the majority of its first factory paint, complimented by a magnificent original interior.
Since being in the UK our car has benefited from going through the workshops of Fiat expert Mark Devaney of 24hundred for a full service, with receipts on file totalling £5000.
Today this delightful Fiat is on the button and ready to go; it is only being offered due to a change in the customer’s travel arrangements.

Body
Amazing is the word for the degree of preservation of this Sport’s bodywork.
This has never been a rusty or crashed car as the majority of the paint is the thin, factory original. There are a few localised areas of paint rectification over the years and one small area of corrosion on the rear valance, but other than that the body on the car is a time capsule.
The flanks are of course arrow straight and all the brightwork nice and sharp, doors open and close with a new car thunk and panel gaps are uniform and factory correct.
Since being in the UK, the Fiat has gone through a professional rust proofing programme to future proof it.
Mechanicals
During the current ownership, the Fiat has had a major service with the timing belt and tensioner replaced, new water pump, full brake overhaul including reconditioned calipers, new load compensating valve, rebuilt master cylinder and new hoses. The battery and ignition switch are new as are the shock absorbers and fuel pump.
As proof of the car’s reliability, the owner recently completed a tour of the UK and on test the Fiat drives very tightly as only a low mileage, unrestored car can.
The engine bay is highly original, down to the electro-mechanical fan unique to the early cars. The presentation is spotlessly clean and correct.
Interior
Clearly this car has lived in the dark most of its life as the interior is fabulously well preserved. This evocative interior features original upholstery in excellent condition together with unworn carpets, taut crisp headlining and an uncracked dashboard with fresh, unfogged gauges. Early model features include gold-rimmed instruments and narrow front arm rests.
A set of protective over mats are supplied with the car (not shown).
Boot
Mint condition. The original carpeting is undamaged and a spare matching alloy is in place together with a jack and unused boxed toolkit.
Summary
This is a unique opportunity to experience an original AC series 124 Coupe; as if 53 years were 53 months!
One for the collector, and genuinely unrepeatable.
