A very good example of an ex-USA re-import, this MG TD is in very good shape throughout, totally rot free and virtually surface-rust free. The chassis and body structure are first class, with excellent panel fit including doors, wings and bonnet, the paintwork is generally good but there is some mico-blistering which is not really noticeable. The upholstery is also in good order, although the carpets could be improved. The vinyl hood fits well and the side screens are in pretty good order as you can see. Under the bonnet is tidy without being spotless. The engine, which is its original, seems to be good and strong with good oil pressure and no overheating. The transmission is not noisy and the car drives along very well indeed. There are a few minor items to attend to - the car needs a new horn-push and a new gasket between the exhaust manifold and down pipe, the indicators are intermittent, and the windscreen wiper motor needs some attention - to the switch I think. The speedometer is crazy. The car would require a full service for MOT, which we recommend - a couple of weekends' work and it would be ready for the road. Comes with the correct NOVA paperwork, a V5C has been applied for. You won'f find cheaper than this in this condition, it really is good.
