William Morris named the Morris Oxford after the university city of the dreaming spires in which he grew up, and the manufacture of Morris's Oxfords helped transform sleepy Oxford into an industrial city.
This very sharp-looking 1964 Morris Oxford in its two-tone Trafalgar Blue and Old English White was a very popular family car back inthe 1960s, where you could drive it anywhere with confidence. Wheel arches are all nice and crisp, very good chromework, including original Lucas spotlights, and the underside is solid too.
The car features a fabulous original colour-coordinated interior, with immaculate headlining and thick pile carpets, and the car contains an original piano key radio to add to the in-car experience. The dashboard is in excellent condition with no sun damage. The interior even bears its original Ernest Kane dealer placque on the dashboard, also in mint condition.
The engine bay is very clean, and the car's B-Series 1622cc engine and 4-speed gearbox perform just as well as back in the 1960s!
