Motodrome are pleased to offer this 1953 Land Rover Series 1 80in softtop, in 7 seater configuration, in Bronze Green.
An original UK car, this one is fitted with new Exmoor Trim deep-weave hood, freewheel front hubs, a matching set of 700x16 tyres, fume curtain, rear bench seats and towbar.
This one was acquired by the last owner, who’s well-known to us, in 2014. Like many Series 1’s, it was sound and looked smart having apparently been used for weddings, but again like many it drove like an absolute dog. His forte is bringing old machinery up to scratch, and over the past 6 years that’s exactly what has been done to this one (see our website for full details) , to the extent it’s probably the nicest-driving 80in model I’ve ever had.
It’s fitted with a very healthy 2. 25 petrol ex-military engine, that’s had a reconditioned cylinder head as part of the restoration.
Odometer reading 25000 miles (which should really be disregarded) and comes, as you’d expect, with a massive sheaf of bills detailing what’s been done - see our website for a comprehensive list
