Here at Old Colonel Cars we are delighted to have an absolutely immaculate 1990 Mercedes W126 300 SE, with only 23, 000 Miles from new. A low owner car, clearly cherished and stored correctly, complete with full service history, mostly Mercedes main dealer. A very rare manual car, 1 of only 2 or 3 believed to have been produced. This Mercedes would grace any collection, everywhere you look the car is in exceptional original condition.
Don't confuse this with the restored low mileage cars out there, this is an exceptional original car. They are only original once !!
The last of the W126 S Class Mercedes, cars that were built by engineers before being steered by accountants. Throughout the car is a feeling of rock solid build quality and clever design and technology firsts. This example features the improved 3. 0 straight six engine. Its super smooth and as you can imagine for a car with this history and low mileage, it drives and performs like new.

Finished in Smoke Silver metallic with a Mushroom leather interior complimented by Walnut veneer.
The Bodywork and paintwork are in excellent condition and look to be very original. Its a very impressive car, a deep all over shine on the paintwork. Look down the sides, under the arches, under the doors, around front and rear windscreen, its all in superb original condition.
Inside the condition continues, absolutely excellent. The leather feels of the highest quality and is all in amazing condition. The deep pile carpets are protected by the double original mats, door cards, dash, roof lining all excellent.
The engine bay presents very well. All chassis legs, double fire wall, front panel are all factory finished and the original condition would draw alot of attention at any show.
A large boot presents very well. Under the carpets, rear panel, all original.
The chassis and general underside areas have been preserved as the rest of the car. Much of the original factory protection is still to be seen, again it all completely original and solid. This car has clearly been stored correctly, you will not find a cleaner example.
The distinctive wheel covers are in superb original condition. All tyres are the correct Michelin Energy tyres, the correct Mercedes preferred tyre for this car.
Engine / Gearbox
This model features the M103 3. 0 straight six engine, producing 188 BHP. This engine provides plenty of performance for this car. Its a super smooth unit, very quiet. On this example, it starts and performs perfectly.
This example features a 5 Speed manual gearbox. Very rare on this model, research indicates this was one of only 3 produced. Some Mercedes from this period were criticized for having notchy manual gearboxes. Well I can assure you on this model its not the case. A nice easy, smooth gear change combined with a very easy to use clutch.
History
This Mercedes has low ownership. The first owner, purchased this car from Eastbourne Mercedes Benz and owned this car for 22 years. The second owner purchased it and owned it for around 7 years.
It benefits from full service history as detailed below. We have all the keys, original manual in original Mercedes folder along with a folder of service receipts and old MOT’s confirming the low mileage.
