Lovely old time-warp MG YB, which you could describe as a greasy cloth .. (get it?!). The car was first registered in November 1952 and is currently dark green with a lovely old dark red (more of an ox-blood red) interior which we think is original. The car has been mechanically fettled over the last two years and now drives very well indeed, everything seems to work as it should - with the exception of the fuel gauge. The work carried out is extensive and includes full brake overhaul, new stainless steel exhaust, new Longstone crossplys, new cooling pipes, the fitting of indicators (the original trafficators are still intact) and full service. The opening windscreen and sunroof both now operate, and a new clock has been fitted. The car was last MOTd in July 2019 and passed with no advisories. The result of all this work, is a that the car drives very well with brakes, running gear, engine and transmission all working well. The underside of the car including chassis, body structure etc seems to be very sound and clean and tidy and the upper part of the body (excluding paintwork - read on) is very sound indeed. There appears to be no serious rust on this car. The interior is very original and is in excellent condition with good seats, good door cards and headlining, and serviceable carpets. There is a rear window blind, but this needs attention. The paintwork however, is not good, having paint-measles all over - HENCE THE PRICE OF THE CAR. To re-paint or not to re-paint - personally, for an MG at this price (which is what you would pay for a boring old Morris E Type!) we would leave it as it is and enjoy the charming patina - but the choice is yours! Comes with V5C, original logbook, and file of paperwork, including invoices old MOTs etc. You could probably drive this car home but we would rather deliver it to you at a very reasonable rate.
