1978 Mercedes-Benz R107 450sl
Just arrived into stock is this absolutely stunning Mercedes-Benz 450sl . It is undoubtedly one of the most stunning colour combinations available and one of the very best maintained/ presented examples around at anything like this price point currently. Colour scheme is pastelblau with a contrasting Blue MB Tex interior.
It has covered 109k miles from new and comes with an extremely comprehensive history folder documenting regular maintenance and all of its mot certificates from brand new. It has a current advisory free MOT until October 2021 even though the car happens to be MOT exempt as it is over 40 years of age.
In addition to this it has received many major works from marque specialist “The SL Shop” in recent years. This has included £1700 to replace all the timing chains and tensioners, £3434 for comprehensive welding works to boot floor and jacking points aswell as underselling the car at the same time and a new steering arm fitted, £1467 for new gear-lever linkages, sub frame bushes, new anti roll bar links and welding to front chassis legs.
In addition to the SL shops works I have a further £10k worth of invoices over the last 5 years for regular maintenance, servicing and paint work including all new inner and outer rear arches and inner sills.
We get offered lots of R107’s and certainly don’t buy all of them as they are quite often uneconomical to purchase/ sell.
