Exterior Features
The Golf is finished in the factory colour and the condition of the body and paint is fantastic all around the vehicle. This example features the single-headlamp grille with red-stripe detail and the black VW badge set. The sides of the vehicle are complete with the grey GTI decal styling.
Wheels & Tyres
The 'Tarantula' alloys finish off the retro look of the early 80's Volkswagen and each of the wheels have very good tyres. The Volkswagen Golf black centre caps are original and complete the retro-style of the vehicle.
Interior Components
The interior factory cloth seats are well known to Golf Mk1 lovers as the striped GTI seats in grey and black. There are no rips or tears in the upholstery and the headlining is in good condition too. All components within the vehicle are working fully and original with standard features.
Mechanics
The GTI engine is responsive whilst being reliable and has stood the test of time, still running as well today as it would have in the early 80's. The vehicle has undergone our full in-house mechanical and safety inspection, a large amount of service work including waterpump and timing belt and has just had a new MOT with no advisories. The Golf will also come with a 3-month warranty.
Service & Maintenance History
There is a large folder of service history present with the Golf, which includes the original stamped service record, documented service and repair invoices and a range of MOT certificates which document the life of the vehicle so far. There are two keys present and a fully clear HPI record. We have also completed a record of photos and paperwork for work carried out in-house at UKD.
Drive & Comfort
This Golf is a stunning example of the Mk1 inside and out. When driving, the handling is great and the suspension feels comfortable on the road with all components working brilliantly. Economical and responsive, this is a great example of 80's German engineering and would be a pleasure for any enthusiast to own!
