1963 Jaguar Mark 2 3. 8 Saloon
We are firmly of the opinion that Jaguar’s Mark 2 saloon is one of the most practical and elegant choices for the classic motoring enthusiast. Representing what was one of the first true sporting saloon cars, with a huge competition heritage and benefitting from a punchy straight six engine, taught handling and modern disc brakes all round, it is easy to see why these cars are so at home on modern roads, providing a great driving experience to this day.
90GLR is an exceptional Mark 2. Coming to us from a very good client of CMC, unbelievably original and retaining what is as far as we can see a fantastically preserved original interior, the car has been lovingly maintained and preserved. Her paint work is in excellent order and her coachwork sound. Underneath the car is pristine, clean and solid.
The originality continues with the car retaining all of its factory numbers and a service wallet which includes the car’s original warranty book, contract of sale and log book.
An absolute joy to drive, 90GLR one of those rare cars that has been kept in astonishingly good condition without being fully restored and thus still feels like the car she was when she left the show room in 1963.
