Motodrome offer for sale this 1960 example of the ever-popular Land Rover Series II, this one an 88in petrol model in possibly the prettiest configuration – a truck cab.
Obviously very heavily patinated (which some people, including me, prefer) we’re told the last owner used it daily.
Fitted with Smiths round heater and towbar. We have a rear tilt frame for it, and a canvas, although this is way past it’s best. I think they look better without the tilt though.
The registration number seems to be the original one, and according to the V5 it’s only had 5 owners (including us) in it’s 60 years – not bad for it’s age.
Odometer reading 87000 miles. At some point in the past, the original 151 prefix 2. 25 motor has been replaced with a 901 prefix 2. 25 petrol motor from a Series III.
