Land Rover Model: Defender 90 2. 5 Diesel 4C Year: 1985 Title: Fully Restored Land Rover Defender 90 2. 5 Diesel Text: This outstanding, fully rebuilt Land Rover Defender has covered just a few hundred miles since a complete chassis up restoration. The Land Rovers previous life was a typical workhorse and between 2004 and 2016 it covered 25000 miles. Requiring bodywork and some light mechanicals, the Land Rover was purchased in 2016 by the proprietor of an Engineering Company with both workshops and bodyshop facilities who then commissioned a major program of work. The Land Rover body was removed, and the decision was made to replace the chassis with a brand new galvanised chassis. The body was then completely stripped back and restored and fully re-painted, fitted on the chassis and trimmed up with various new parts. The inside of the Land Rover was painted, new seats and rubber mats and brand new rear bench seats with seatbelts were fitted. A brand new old stock engine was fitted, a new clutch fitted and the five speed gearbox overhauled. The suspension was overhauled with brand new coil over springs, the braking system was re-commissioned and various ancillaries overhauled or replaced. Wheels were shot blasted, new tyres fitted and the Landy then MOT tested. Having covered just a couple of hundred miles, the Land Rover is still very fresh from rebuild. It drives superbly with a strong, fit, as new 2. 5 diesel engine, the gearbox changes up and down smoothly and the vehicles steers, rides and brakes superbly. With a fantastic restored body, brand new chassis, first class bulk head and a lovely detailed finish, this Land Rover 90 is a fabulous example and would make an ideal everyday usable classic.
