1929 20/ 25 Rolls Royce GX020
This Rolls Royce 20/ 25 was the ninth 20/ 25 made. It was used as a trials car by Rolls Royce appearing in road tests in various magazines and the Scottish Motor Show. It is fitted with a lightweight Weymann body by Mulliner. At some point post war a more powerful Rolls Royce tank engine was fitted and some of the original engine parts were retained. The fabric body was extensively rebuilt by the previous owner, who also restored the interior. It has this year undergone a total engine rebuild and this included the starter motor, carburettor and water pump and a new clutch. The sale includes a correct carburettor and extensive history file, which includes a copy of the original build. There is also a 1927 20 handbook and a photocopy of the correct handbook.
