Registered on the 1st of August 1986, this Porsche 928 S2 Automatic is finished in Silver Metallic (936) paintwork with contrasting dark blue/ white pinstripe velour seats. Featuring air conditioning, 16" GTS style alloy wheels with Porsche crests, 6-way electric front seats, electric windows & mirrors. This car is also supplied with its original set of 'flat face' 16" alloys wheels. The 928 was the first production V8 powered car for Porsche and remains the only front mounted V8 produced by the company. It was produced from 1978 to 1995 & originally intended to supersede the iconic rear engine 911, introducing a more refined and poised sports car with the comfort of a grand tourer. The 928 boasts many interesting design cues, for example it was the first vehicle in which the instrument cluster would move with the adjustable steering wheel giving maximum instrument visibility to the driver. Within its construction of galvanized steel there also includes a large amount of aluminium, used for the doors, bonnet & front wings saving overall weight. In those wings are the integrated pop-up headlamps which were based on the units found on the Lamborghini Miura. The 928 also features a ‘Weissach Axle’, which is a rear-wheel steering system providing passive rear-wheel steering that increases the cars stability under braking during turning. Quite an advanced machine for 1978! This S2 is fitted with the factory optioned electric sliding sunroof & air conditioning, electric windows & central locking. Supplied with a very comprehensive history file that includes many service receipts from Porsche main dealers & service specialists, this 928 S2 has covered only 83k miles verified by the 21 MOT certificates included within its history file.
