We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning 1954 Morgan +4 drophead coupe. First registered in November 1954 and delivered to the Morgan dealer Basil Roy in London, this was the same time as the new cowled radiator shaped cars were introduced by the factory. Mr Roy was dismayed to find he had an ‘old’ model to try and sell so persuaded the factory to change the front end to the new design. In the late eighties the car was obtained by the famous Morgan design engineer, Maurice Owen, who intended to re-furbish it for himself, but never got around to it. He subsequently sold it in August 1996 and the car was completely re-built from the chassis up. This vehicle is widely believed to be one of only 5 left to be running in the UK, and comes with a full catalogue of the re-build along with many spare parts and new period bucket seats.
