1964 Morris Minor Traveller
First Registered: 5. 11. 64
VIN Chassis No.: M/ AW5D1085001
This rolled out of the Morris factory on Guy Fawkes Night 1964, and has since undergone an extensive restoration to get it into such excellent condition. This is a fine example and all the wood, which can be a problem on these, is fabulous. The bodywork and chrome are all in the same outstanding condition. All the doors open and close smooth and flush, everything functions properly - this is the result of very thorough restoration to a very high standard. The rubber seals, chromework, glass, interior, roof lining - they are all impeccable.
The car has a four-cylinder 848cc engine in superb order, very economical, and the 4-speed manual gearbox is also excellent and functioning perfectly. Clutch, brakes, wipers, headlights, they all perform flawlessly; the car is as it would have been more than half a century ago.
The engine bay itself is well-nigh spotless. All the seats are absolutely immaculate, as is the roof lining, dashboard and instrument cluster. The rear storage compartment also testifies to the high standard of the restoration.
There are just too many charming features about this car - everywhere you look there is something to delight, the like-new wooden trim, the elaborate badges and emblems, that instantly recognisable front, the wonderfully thought-out proportions of the Morris design, and all like the day it was made. A great opportunity to acquire a beautifully restored piece of motoring history.
