Hi and welcome to my sale of my 1989 Volvo 360 GLT s/ r.
Covered just over 111, 000 miles the B200E red block 2 litre fuel injection engine is smooth and sturdy with a 5 speed manual gearbox. I'm the 4th owner of this vehicle having it owned for over 3 years now. I have over the years purchased many parts to upgrade this car to the standard it is now.
Car was registered on 3rd February 1989 and purchased by it’s first owner from Burr Bros. Of Hitchin Ltd.
The car is finished in light blue metallic which gives a deep glossy shine with full black leather interior which is very rare. All the interior is in very good condition with no rips or cigarette burns just normal wear on the front seats (as normal with leather). Heated front seats. All four door cards are in good condition too. Temperature and Econ gauges in the main cluster and oil temperature and volt gauge near the gear stick mounted in a original Volvo gauge pod which again is very rare. I also have a genuine Volvo Oil pressure gauge with sender which can be purchased separately. All gauges and controls work. Original Volvo AM WM radio cassette player with anti-theft code and roof mounted aerial. Sunroof which can be opened all the way or at a slight tilt. All the heater controls work and the car heats the cabin up very nicely. Rear Volvo decor panel which was specially made for this car as the originals are very rare to get hold of. Original snow tray Volvo mats, Volvo rear mud flaps, PAS, electric door mirrors, front electric windows and wind-down rear windows. MOSS alarm for that extra security, with two remotes. Two sets of keys, smoke free car, always garaged and only used on dry days.
The engine and gear box was cleaned and painted during the first lock down period. The rocker cover was shot blasted and powered coated by a local company near me.
Nearly new Firestone tyres all around on newly refurbished Volvo Leo alloys. The spare wheel in the boot is a steel wheel with a unused Michelin tyre. Original Volvo jack and wheel brace also present in boot.
Very good body work for a 32 year old car with usual age related marks, chips and light scratches. The bottom of the car including all four wheel arches are waxoiled to prevent rust. This was done last year in 2020.
There are a few very small rust bubbles appearing on the rear driver side door top and a few light scratches/ scuff marks on the sunroof. The car has been fully painted in the past to a high standard not sure when as I brought the car like this. This doesn't effect the car in anyway and polishes up beautifully as you can see from the pictures. The paint work does really shine.
Both engine and gearbox are in excellent condition and the car drives beautifully. I have driven this car to London and Boston Lincolnshire many times and it drives beautifully without any faults. The car had a fully service in January 2018 when I brought the car, which included:
1) Full engine service (all filers, oil, spark plugs, rotor arm, distributor cap)
2) Rocker cover gasket
3) 4 new Firestone tyres
4) Wheel balancing
Since owning the car the following jobs were done in 2019:
1) Timing belt
2) Fan belts
3) CO2 emissions set up
4) Coolant flush & antifreeze
Full engine service (all filters, oil, spark plugs)
5) Ignition leads
6) Front and rear bosh wiper blades including headlight blades
In 2020 the car was stored in my garage and due to the pandemic it wasn’t used that year.
Before the MOT this year the car had a engine service which included oil and filter change.
Car was MOT'd on 1st April 2021 at 111, 263 miles. This car surprising gives great mpg and power delivery and is also very cheap to insure on classic car insurance.
The car will also come with the registration number F8 GLT which I brought in 2019. This plate has been valued at £600 through National Numbers. I have an email to confirm this.
