The Moto Guzzi was the most popular and best-selling machine in the 250cc class in Italy in the 1940s and 1950s. With sophisticated technology and problem-free suitability for everyday use, it has made itself extremely popular in Italy. The first designs of this motorcycle go back to 1932. This horizontal 1-cylinder was built for the first time with 175 cc and from 1934 with 238 cc. The Airone Sport, with different camshafts and the 25 mm SSF carburetor from Dellorto, developed 13 hp compared to the Toruismo with 9. 5 hp.
This Airone, built in 1946 with open valves, is also called "Astorino" by collectors because it is the only Airone with the same hydraulic dampers on the rear swing arm as its big brother, the Astore.
This beautiful Airone was restored with a lot of effort. The engine runs well and everything works as it should.
