1941 Moto Guzzi Alce 500cc
Italian Army Military Motorcycle
A highly evocative 1941 Moto Guzzi Alce 500cc, manufactured for the Italian Army.
The Moto Guzzi Alce is one of the most recognisable Italian military motorcycles of the Second World War period. Developed as a rugged military machine, the Alce was designed to cope with demanding operating conditions and became associated with military transport, communications and general service duties.
This example presents in traditional military olive green and features the distinctive horizontal single-cylinder engine configuration for which early Moto Guzzi motorcycles became famous.
The substantial frame, sprung saddle, period suspension, luggage equipment and purposeful military appearance give this machine exceptional presence.
