Here we have for sale our stunning Ducati 999R. Our bike is the upgraded series 2 edition and is number #0070 of the limited run of examples produced. This model contains the higher powered 150bhp engine as fitted standard in the 999 Xerox. The bike benefits from having the later restyled fairing and painted front fender as well as numerous carbon fibre extras fitted.
Our 2006 UK bike benefits from being supplied with the all important commemorative plaque, tool kit, stamped service book and handbooks, 2 keys, key card and will have a full belt service and MOT prior to sale.
The 999R superseded the Massimo Tamburini designed Ducati 916, 996 & 998 range of superbikes in 2003 and was produced through to 2006. This bike enjoyed great success in World Superbike and was raced in the series through the 2007 season.
The 999R was designed by Pierre Terblanche amid much controversy over its styling, despite this it is still known as an extremely high performance race orientated motorcycle. With its traditional Ducati twin desmodromic valve actuated engine layout it has a linear power delivery with high power and torque figures available even at low RPM. Additionally with its high spec suspension and trellis chassis, its one of the finest handling motorcycles of its time.
