Bentley 31/ 2 litre - 1935
Original factory records show this car was sold on the 1st June 1935 through International Distributors (a London main dealer in Berkeley Street W1), and was delivered to Vanden Plas on the 12th July of the same year to have a 4 door Saloon body fitted to include an optional metal spare wheel cover. The chassis alone cost £939.
Little remained of the original body when the car was purchased from The Real Car Company in 1994 and from this point entered into a an exciting restoration and rebody phase to become what this stunning car is today. It is now a beautifully proportioned and detailed open 3 seater sports bodied open tourer special - it has been meticulously crafted by well-known body restorer and builder S. Penny (who has won many significant awards for his work) and when completed in 1998 it was handed to Fiennes Engineering who were employed to rebuild the engine and attended to the chassis moving parts including the one-shot system with a fully documented and incredibly detailed record of works. Since 2000 the car has been maintained by specialist engineer A. Dyson (Oxfordshire).
This is a totally unique one off and the car has been set up by someone who understands how these cars should 'feel' which directly makes the driver reap and enjoy every moment he's in control of this car. Its light, powerful, responsive, agile and fun to drive.
The speedo and rev counter were repaired & overhauled in 2019.
Chassis number B200EF.
This car is located in South Oxfordshire along with its complete history file which details an intricate account of all works completed, together with all invoices incurred during the restoration process by the professional and upstanding organisations employed to create this car.
The car is currently being DVLA re-registered to the UK as it has recently arrived from Guernsey.
