I have owned this unusual an well known car for 12 years. It was the one I was going to keep. However! I've decided to sell
When I purchased it 12 years ago I had the body professionally restored. Originally black I woke up one morning and decided on viper green. I think it suits the car well.
Just after the car was resprayed it suffered a minor engine fire and was written off CAT D
However it was correctly repaired.
Front seats are leather which I had done
It's fitted with Zender stars Alloys with Almost new Toyo Proxis
In the past 12 years I've done many things! In the past I've changed:
Fuel tank
All wheel bearings (rears a couple of times)
New rear stub axles and drums
Stainless steel filler neck fitted
All new standard suspension (springs and shocks) about 3 years ago
New brake callipers
Last winter I carried out the following:
Genuine 45000 mile engine fitted (form a trusted source)
Reconditioned 4+E gearbox fitted (£600) gives a much more relaxed cruising speed old box goes with the car if required
New clutch
New cam belt
Brake upgrades 22mm master cylinder an new 9inch servo
1 new drive shaft
New larger injection engine radiator fitted
New water pump
Every coolant hose renewed (I mean every!)
Air horns
Various bits of engine components powder coated
I've waxoyl'd the car regularly. Always garaged In my ownership
The hood was new 12 years ago and was made specially. It's mohair and in excellent condition
Bad bits
Due to the construction of of the Bieber kits the hood leaks . Just a Bieber design fault. Strangely it's better when on the move!
Remember this is a 12 Year old paint job it has occasional paint chips and scratches
We've just returned from a 800mile round trip, car performed faultlessly
We have been all over with this car. South of France, Monaco, and Italy.
I've a stack of paperwork relating to the car. From before my ownership and during. I've got a letter from the bodyshop in Middlesbrough who did the conversion in 1992.
Also a magazine article from when the car was first converted.
Lots of articles have been written about it since
