A classic and clean example.
Fantastic condition inside and out. Headlining clean, no sagging and the dash area has no cracks/ warping.
Clean underneath - no reported corrosion.
This is my second time of owning this car but personal circumstances and practicalities mean it’s time to find her a new home where she can continue to be treasured and admired.
Comes with a stack of paperwork, including original service booklet, a list of all previous owners, and detailed history of work completed from 2014 to-date, several boxes of spare parts and Scirocco-related items incl. 2 Radio Cassettes, 2 Hella H’lights. Photo’s available. NOT TESTED.
Garage-kept, as far as I know, since at least year 2000, this car, and its paintwork are in great condition; pulls well in all gears and is very keen to get going on the open road.
The exhaust has a delightful slight growl and tinkle, and she turns heads of all ages everywhere she goes!
She has been regularly serviced and is reliable and a joy to drive, purring happily along on local roads easily as my ‘daily’ but hasn’t had much opportunity to be opened-up on bigger roads recently. Has driven long distances in the past 10 years including Cornwall to Portsmouth, and Cornwall to Wiltshire on a number of occasions.
MOT exempt, but put through ‘training’ MOTs:

‘25 CV Boots replaced Front, both sides.

NOTE:
Clutch Cable replaced ‘24. Worked well until very recent weeks (still looks like new), whereby bite point of clutch has become high.
On the flat, no problem, when the engine is put under load, eg up-hill acceleration, very slight revving occurs after clutch pedal release.
All gear changes smooth, including reverse. No grinding, crunching, or clutch burn.
Clutch may be starting to deteriorate, or could be a seal leak, no leaks are visible.
No paperwork to show how old the current clutch is. This is reflected in the price.
Rear-view mirror has become detached but it’s hoped this will be stuck back in place prior to sale.
Tiny hole rear seat, tiny signs of wear front driver’s seat.
Slight ‘crease’ in front nrside wing, present since before 2015 ownership. Also a very slight dimple in bonnet, driver’s side. No paint damage. Documented in photos/ video provided.
Slight bubbling in paintwork lower R H corner of rear window.
In warmer weather, if petrol tank overfilled, the ‘extra’ fuel leaks via over flow pipe in front of driver’s side rear wheel. A known problem with some Sciroccos.
Car is currently securely stored, will be regularly started up/ run to ensure she remains tip-top. Mileage stated may increase.

STEREO RADIO NOT INCLUDED. According to ‘How Many Left’, 1 licensed/ 6 SORN, she is one of very few ’83 CLs left on UK roads.
Mainly a SW England car, she has had 7 owners, two of which are me and one was a ‘temporary owner’, circa 2014, who was preparing the car for sale for his elderly neighbour back when she first came into my ownership in 2015. I sold her in 2016 and in the time since then her owner cherished her so dearly that he had his garage floor laid with ceramic tiles. She then came back to me from this gentleman’s widow, in late 2022.
I’ve done my best to given a detailed, open, honest description.
Her beauty includes age-related wear and signs of a happy life, as would naturally be expected on a car of this age.
Included are as many photos as reasonably practical. I have a video of the engine idling without choke, to aid any potential buyer.
Buyers are invited to ask questions/ request additional photographs or videos, including up-to-date footage of her being driven, if necessary, which I’m happy to provide.
She’s just waiting for her new owner, to begin her new life!
