For sale is my lovely 1992 Mk3 Ford Fiesta 1. 0 Bonus Kingfisher Edition. It has done just over 50, 000 miles from new and has an MOT until 31/ 08/ 21.
I acquired this car at the latter part of last year from a young chap who had taken it on from his grandmother who had owned it from brand new. He brought it into my work to see what bits it needed doing service wise but ended up buying another car for daily use. I didn't want to see it fall into disrepair or worse, scrapped, so I bought it from him.
I have since completed a full service with oil, filters, plugs, new rocker cover gasket and new front discs and pads and a new drivers side caliper and flexible brake hose as the original caliper had seized and the hose was collapsed. It has an extensively stamped service book from new and has invoices.
In terms of provenance, being as it has only been with the original owner and her grandson, it has had next to no owners and has all of its original documents and finance agreement (fully paid off years ago, of course!) and all original purchase invoices from Wombourne Ford.
The bodywork is in reasonably good condition; the majority of the paintwork still comes up beautifully, it has of course been touched by small amounts of corrosion over the years. The two front arches have small patches and the rear arch to sill area has been refinished most likely for a previous MOT and somewhat unfortunately had a quick protective paintwork in black, but this could be easily rectified relatively cheaply. There are various dings and scrapes that it has picked up over the years but ultimately for its age, these are relatively minor. The last few years' MOTs have been advisory free and doing some work on it, I have seen that the underside is in fantastic condition for the age.
If you have any more questions, I'm sure I've missed things, but it is an extremely honest car and with a small amount of work it would make a very good appreciating classic. I know that ones in marginally better condition are going for a lot more, so I have tried not to be greedy but am trying to recoup my costs. I'd love to keep it but I just haven't got the space sadly, I just want it to be passed to a good home!
