Talbot Sunbeam Rally Car
Here for sale is 1600 Talbot Sunbeam Rally Car.
It has a 1600 engine with big valve head from Ivor Greewood, twin webbers, with 4 speed quaiffe rocket box with bell housing to suit. AP Paddle clutch. 4. 4 lsd diff and braced axle. Bilstein suspension all round. Quick rack. Bias pedal box with dash mounted adjuster, hydraulic handbrake and brake bias valve. Twin Facet Fuel Pumps with Underslung fuel tank with guard. New front sump guard.
Has MSA Stage Rally logbook that was issued 2007. The Fire extinguishers, seats and belts all out of date for Rallying.
Prior to me purchasing the car I was told that the engine had been rebuilt with a new big valve head (Ivor Greenwood), rings bearing and oil pump.
The car was last driven at a test day at Knockhill in 2020 for which the car had full check over and all fluids etc were changed and ran well all day. But did have rear arch clipped so a new one has been fitted needs painted. Also the bonnet was damaged but will come with new fibreglass bonnet also.
Prior to that, was told it was out at Mondello park with previous owner.
This is an old rally car which has been well used and seen plenty of action but plenty of life left in it and lots of fun still to be had. The drivers door is gone underneath and could do with replacing or certainly requires looking at. Spare doors included. I am sure with little work would be perfect for Historic Log Book etc. (I think would only need rear brakes) but you would need to confirm.
The car will also come with a spare rally shell which will be ideal for cuts or brave restoration. This shell was also well known rally car in the past.
In addition spare steel wings, doors, arched fibreglass and anything sunbeam I have there will go with car.
I will not sell anything separately.
