This is a UK supplied right hand drive Datsun 280ZX 2+2 manual, that has had a comprehensively nut and bolt rebuild about 5 years ago. The car has been used very lightly in the last 5 years which has kept the car in immaculate condition. Although now classed as an Historic vehicle and not subject to an MOT or road tax, the Datsun has been MOT'd for the last 3 years, all with no advises and covering less than 500 miles in that time. These Datsun's are really rare cars basically because their value never justified the huge cost of a full blown restoration in the past, consequently there are only a handful of fully restored UK supplied cars in the UK today. There are many left hand drive USA imports most of which are Automatic, these cars must not be confused with mine both in terms of value and condition. Having had most of the Z models as my daily drivers many years ago, when they were way ahead of their time both in terms of styling and performance, I can confirm that this 280ZX is still just as exciting and rewarding to drive as they were many years ago. Being both comfortable and brisk to drive, with a great engine note. This 280 has been kept in completely standard and concours trim, however there are many performance enhancing parts that are available on the market today. The Datsun had some re-commissioning/ service work carried out in October 2020, this included all new bearings on rear axle , new gear change linkage (very hard to get) and brake overhaul, as well as four new tyres. The interior is in superb condition with original trim with no tears or marks, ditto the headlining and the dash is also superb with no cracks, with all gauges working and a period correct stereo. The Datsun deserves a personal inspection to truly appreciate the condition of this rare rust free car. Values are very much on the up as the market wakes up to the rarity and importance of these cars and this is one car that is going to really appreciate in the future if looked after. The 280Zx is being offered for sale at about a third of the amount that was spent on the restoration. Only for sale due to my advancing years and back problems making it difficult to get in and out of.. This is a chance to buy an exceptional car in fabulous condition before prices rocket. £19950.
