My lovely borgward isabella is for sale because i have a ts model which i am restoring. Good sense says keep this one. This 1960 model is the 60bhp model, this is quite sprightly with a top speed of over 80mph. With a column 4 speed gearchange and drum brakes all round, this car drives very well for it's age, helped by the fact that most if not all steering joints have been replaced and the steering idler rebuilt. This was put back on the road in around 2016 by a borgward drivers club member, and further worked on by me to include new tyres, brake shoes, fuel pipes, suspension pivots, shock absorbers, wheel bearing, rebuilt brake cylinders and master cylinder with stainless sleeves new pistons and rubbers, rechromed bumpers and hubcaps and much more. The colour was originally grey, but has been changed to a very stylish black with cream roof. The car looks good from 20 paces, but to look its best would benefit from a respray, it certainly has that original look and people always want to talk to you about it. The bodywork is very solid. Interior is very good, some loose stitching.
