Here at The Bike Specialists we offer the opportunity to own a unique one-off custom built motorcycle, The BMW K100 J. J. Cobas Race Replica "The Flying Brick".
This stunning bike has been created by local bike builder Mike Oakes using an original 1990 BMW K100 which has been totally rebuilt and turned into this Cobas race creation. This bike is eligible for classic bike track days and parades and Mike has taken part twice in the Bikers Classics at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps race track.
The bike is supplied with a full MOT and a host of photos charting the bikes build which includes the following specification:
K100RS 16v 1990 frame. Modified tank, narrowed at the front and at the rear to allow you to climb around the bike a little easier. One off fairing and seat based on Ducati Formula 1 parts from the premium quality bodywork company Motoforza. Spare fuel pumps, cam cover, ECU, 8v K100RS final drive, handlebars with anything else relevant will come with the bike.
K1100RS motor, ported cylinder head, K12RS throttle bodies, K12RS cams, K12RS oil/ water pump that allows for an oil cooler, K12RS headers, Akrapovic titanium silencer, chipped ECU, aluminium airbox drawing fresh air from the frontal area of the fairing. One off alloy radiator with the reservoir/ overflow bottle sitting inside the seat hump a Lithium battery. LCD F series dash manufactured by Translogic which shows you everything you need to know.
With regards to the bikes suspension and brakes:
K1100RS forks with Racetech fork internals and springs.
Wilbers fully adjustable, remote reservoir rear suspension unit.
Currently running 8 valve mono rear end because it’s approximately 40mm shorter. The bike has a Paralever gearbox to allow for the choice. Brembo Gold Line with Radial master cylinder on the front, stock K rear disk & caliper.
Alloy rear sets. Specifically commissioned Astralite gold 17” wheels running 120/ 70 17” front running 300mm discs and 180/ 60 17” rear. The bike will also come with white powder coated 1100RS wheels & discs fitted with Avon AM22 & AM23 tyres.
