Nautical Blue Metallic will forever be associated. with Bruce’s 500SL, the poster car of SLSHOP and the car that many SL enthusiasts know and love from our presence at classic car shows nationwide. This deep and luxurious colour is perfectly complimented by the grey leather interior, a very smart looking R107 SL with a very interesting history.
This 300SL has been known to SLSHOP for some time, as it first appeared on our radar in the early 2000s. In 2016 it was prepared for sale in our showroom, before being purchased by none other than England football legend Peter Crouch as a 30th birthday present for his wife. Having always wanted a blue R107 SL, the car made the perfect gift for Mrs Clancy’s birthday.
Over the last 5 years the car has been used very occasionally, always garaged and well cared for. It is now offered for sale once more due to lack of use, with the current owners preferring to move the car to a new owner who has the time to enjoy it.
A chance to buy a car that is desirable not only for the specification and very low mileage, but also the association with one of the nation’s favourite footballers. Not an opportunity that will be repeated.
