The Lancia Flaminia coupés and convertibles were coach built cars with bodies of prestigious Italian coachbuilders, such as Touring, Zagato and Pininfarina.
This lovely example here is a Lancia Flaminia LHD GT 2. 5 Touring Coupé from 1961.
An early 2. 5 litre version with single carburettor setup, one of only 868 Touring coupés built.
6 cylinder, 2-door GT version with 2 seats, 2. 458 cc, 89 kw/ 120 hp with single carburettor Solex C40, 4-speed manual gearbox, steel chassis with aluminium bodywork.
This specific car presents itself in a beautiful and very appealing colour combination: “grigio scuro” (grey) exterior with red leather interieur. The leather seats have been recently retrimmed as have the interior panels. Very nicely done. The dashboard has been finished in black leather.
Floor is finished with new grey carpets.
The car is also equipped with 2 seatbelts.
The car comes with its original documentation such as its service book, many maintenance invoices and with photos of its restoration. The car had a strong base and has been partly restored where many parts have been renewed but with the preservation of its originality. These works have been carried out very well and expertly.
The car is technical and cosmetical in great condition. It remains mostly in original condition with slight patina and very few signs of usage.
The aluminium bodywork has been fully restored some time ago and the car has been repainted. The paint has a lovely shine and is homogenous. Straight body panels and well restored. Chrome work has been redone, mainly according to original specifications, and is in nice condition. Also the glass remains in good state and no glass damage visible. New suspension rubbers all-round.
Wheels are steel, painted in off-white, with chromed details and in good condition. Pirelli wheels 175 R14 in new condition with spare wheel. Owner has also just purchased a set of new Campagnolo wheels with new Cinturato tyres which can be purchased separately.
The car has been extensively checked, overhauled and meticulously maintained. Recent extensive service has been carried out with invoices present, including a new petrol pomp and new water pomp, new exhaust fitted, brake system has been revised and also the suspension has been overhauled. No costs and efforts saved on this car.
Dashboard instruments all in good working order and remain original. Car is also equipped with period Blaupunkt radio.
The car is a great and fast driver, engine runs smoothly and is powerful, easy to handle and the car is a real joy to drive.
Ideal for rallies, any other classic car events or simply to get away on holidays or a long weekend.
Car has only 2 owners from new. First registration was in Switzerland. Now in current Belgian ownership and registered on Belgian number plates with only about 99. 000 km on its odometer. The current owner has never driven the car in the rain.
