An enthusiast owned from new and stunning 2. 5 V6 Vectra b in full GSI phase 1 trim.
Originally starting life as a 2. 5 SRI, the original owner took the car to renowned Vauxhall specialists Courtenay Sport, who applied the very best of their v6 tuning options to make the professional conversion to GSI spec, and indeed take the car further. Modifications installed by the experts at Courtenay include:
- Courtenay Sport lightweight flywheel and clutch;
- Courtenay Sports Camshafts;
- Courtenay Sport 4-bar fuel pressure regulator;
- Courtenay Sport Widened throttle body;
- Courtenay Sport modified airbox;
- Courtenay Sport SuperChip and V6 engine map.
The car was then further treated to Spax coilover suspension and RND motorsport droplinks to sharpen the turn in. Externally, phase 1 bodykit and alloys were properly fitted while inside, the car benefits from Super Touring spec Recaro seats and doorcards as well as the official Irmscher styling additions (gear surround, gear knob, door locks etc).
Since i took ownership in 2020, I have made further performance enhancements to make this a truly one off special car. Including:
- Full bespoke front to back stainless still exhaust from BTB Exhausts, including high flow cats. Those that know will be aware that BTB manufactured the exhaust system for the very limited edition ST3000 Vectra back in the day. Joe at BTB dusted off the old original blueprints from that built to manufacture me the same exhaust. An investment of £2k (full worksheet and invoice included in history);
- New OE front discs and Ferodo pads
- New grooved EBC rear discs and Mintex pads
- "fast road" geometry set up applied
- full service including removal of inlet manifold and new spark plugs fitted.
In short, the car has wanted for nothing and presents as a stunning example of what is now a very rare beast. It gets attention wherever it goes.
The car runs faultlessly as you would expect and is very quick. Dyno sheets (included in history) show power output up to 222bhp.
You will see from the photos that the bodywork is exceptional. No rust whatsoever.
The cherished number plate of P200 MSD is included in the sale. In of itself this is a special number plate for enthusiasts of performance Vectras.
