1990 Toyota Sera 1. 5 Automatic Phase 1. Wine red mica metallic with grey cloth upholstery. A fantastic quirky car from Toyota that was built only for the Japanese market. This Sera has been with its last owner since 2014, some 7 years and covered just 86, 000 miles from new. During this ownership it has been enjoyed and used sparingly covering just 6, 000 miles. The styling is quite unique, with lots of glass and gull wing doors... a cool fact, the designer Gordon Murray cited this door design as inspiration for the McLaren F1's door arrangement. It was also one of the first production cars to have projector headlights. This Sera also has some factory options which include Super Live Surround Sound (SLSS), Air filtration/ fragrance system and Smoked perspex upper spoiler (not currently fitted). The original blinds are also with the car. The paintwork is very bright and presents very well with just a few stone chin-ups on the bonnet. The distinctive glass canopy bathes the interior in natural light, creating a welcoming ambience throughout the cabin. The grey cloth seats with integrated headrests are in very good condition, with no rips, tears, or even any significant bolster wear on either of the front seats. Period-correct Sera floor mats are also present. Mechanically the car is very strong and drives like a car much new we than it really is, and is hard to believe it is 31 years old.
