1958 Commer Cob van ( Hillman Husky)
This vehicle started life as a van as purchase duty was cheaper than a car then side windows and rear seat fitted to make it a family friendly vehicle but very easy to convert back into a van if that's what you are wanting
MOT until Dec 2021 (MOT not needed) and of course it is MOT and tax exempt
the car is very solid and drives a treat with electronic ignition with heavy duty coil and leads, full front to back brand new exhaust, fresh engine, gearbox and rear axle oils changed and alternator conversion fitted a few months ago
The MOT history is excellent with full mots since putting back on the road in October 1997 and passing EVERY year with NO failures or advisories the 39k miles is believed to be genuine
A bit of history is in 1997 the van was found in a Liverpool lock up garage adjacent to york house on ullett rd after being there for many many years when Liverpool corporation was due for a major clean up by E. H Williams where the van was revealed behind the wall of other possessions and because they couldn't find the owners details the van was passed on to city vans of 27c Grigson St and to be disposed off as seen fit. Fortunately it was sold to a enthusiast who stepped in and purchased it (I have more information but not going to put peoples names on )
Bad points are it needs new carpets but are available as a set for £198 from classic motor carpets
The paint is OK but I planned on turning it back into a van and painting it so been happy driving as it is it still looks very presentable (around the screen looks the worst after a new correct rubber was fitted)
all tyres are very good and even has a factory fitted tow-bar
this is a very rare vehicle that's only going to go up in value
