Mercedes/ AMG built only built 1556 C32 AMG estates between 2001 and 2004 compared with 6695 saloons. But the estate version of the W203 AMG car combined everything – tremendous performance, estate practicality and an inconspicuous appearance.
Delivering 349bhp/ 332lb/ ft from its 3. 2-litre V6, boosted at 14. 5psi by a twin screw supercharger, gave the C32 enough go to reach 62mph in 5. 2 seconds (Autocar recorded 4. 6) and on to 175mph had it it not been limited to 20mph below its maximum. On the road this easily accessible performance made for a very rapid car, with, at the time, 911 rivalling performance.
It is thought that less than 100 estates were sold in the UK and less than 250 C32s of both types are registered in the UK today making this a rare car indeed.
This Alabaster White example was, like the majority of RHD C32 Estates, supplied new to Japan and first registered in the UK in September 2019. It is a very high specification example with Bi-Xenon headlights, climate control, heated/ memory/ power seats and much more detailed below. Since its arrival in the UK the Japanese COMAND unit has been replaced with a Dynavin N7 Pro - a superb system that looks entirely factory yet offers a host of contemporary features including DAB radio, handsfree, reversing camera, carplay etc.
The mileage is just 43, 019 miles from new, backed up by service history from Japan and in the UK.
Commensurate with its very low mileage, this C32 is in immaculate original condition throughout. As is often the case with cars from kinder climates, the underside is in quite incredible condition. The alloy wheels are unmarked and wear premium tyres all round, the fronts being new.
