Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this timeless-looking Ferrari 328 GTS. Our sought-after pre-ABS example benefits from only having travelled a small mileage and presents beautifully in the most iconic of Ferrari colour combinations. This popular GTS version outsold the GTB version almost five to one.
The very last Ferrari designed under the stewardship of Enzo Ferrari is the epitome of Italian elegance. Pininfarina paid particular attention to styling details that influenced the car’s CD and aerodynamic lift characteristics – with impressive results. The redesigned nose has a more rounded shape, and that is also complemented by its revised tail valance panel. Cabin ergonomics were also improved with new switchgear, and the shape of the seats and upholstery revised to better suit the sporty driving style this type of car deserved. Air conditioning was also fitted.
The 328 GTS model, together with the fixed roof 328 GTB, were the final developments of the normally aspirated transverse V8 engine 2-seat series. The 328 figures in the model title referred to the total cubic capacity of the engine, 3. 2 litres, and 8 for the number of cylinders. With an increase in engine capacity to 3185 cc, the power output was 270 bhp at 7, 000 rpm, and maximum torque 304 Nm at 5, 500 rpm. With its twin overhead camshafts per bank and four valves per cylinder, top speed is 163 miles per hour, and it accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 5. 9 seconds.
Our left-hand drive, UK-registered 328 GTS, was supplied by Autohaus A. Gohm, (Official Ferrari Dealer), Germany in March 1989, and has clearly been cherished by its owners. It has an excellent history file with numerous invoices and comes complete with its original handbooks, spare keys, and tools. Having lived in the dry climate of Spain for the past 7 years, the car’s condition remains excellent. A recent full service and belt change has also been carried out. The Ferrari will also be supplied with a 12-month written warranty. This is a wonderful opportunity for the collector to secure a highly original, low mileage 328 GTS.
