A lovely low ownership example that has had just three former keepers with the current owner being the custodian for over a decade. During his tenure the car has done few miles being used on dry days for trips to local restaurants & little more whilst being always garaged. The car has covered only 69, 000 miles form new backed up by a file of service bills & MOT certificates.
The car is finished in its original colour of claret along with biscuit hides, both being in fine order. The leather is original & has survived particularly well & is responding well to a clean & hide food treatment we are giving it regulalry over the period of a couple of weeks. The Burr Walnut woodwork is also in excellent order with no fading or cracking, having been kept in a dark dry heated garage environment when not in use. Everything works as it ought & the car is being given an annual full service prior to sale by a local speciailst.
The car was ordered new from London dealer Jack Barclay & comes with its original delivey documents & even the cardboard cut out the hung over the heating controls giving instuctions on the correct operation thereof.
Under the bonnet the car is in equally fine condition with none of the corrosion or furring of nut heads that one finds on poorly looked after examples. A copy of "The Shadow Owners Companion"; a tome devoted to useful maintenance of these cars, comes with the car having been regularly consulted by the current owner & his spanner wielding friend who have looked after the car during the current ownership. Indeed the engine bay as a whole is commendably clean & well detailed showing pride of ownership.
To sum up I would rate this as being a well well above average Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1, that is driving beautifully & is simply a pleasure to be in with an opluent yet understated interior & an absolutley solid rust free body.
