Rare car becoming this 80s classic
A sought-after car with its sporty looks and performance!
The RS Turbo was the fastest Escort and was only available as a three-door hatchback. With 132 hp under the hood, the RS Turbo was pretty fast for its time: the sprint to 100 km/ h takes 8. 7 seconds and the four-cylinder engine only ran out of breath at 206 km/ h. This made the Escort RS Turbo a good German rival for the Volkswagen Golf II GTI 16V (which later got the more powerful GTI G60) and the Opel Kadett 2. 0 GSi (which also came with an even faster 16V.
This copy from 1987 is still in good condition with regard to rust!
The engine is due for an overhaul
