SUMMARY
Originally supplied by Mercedes-Benz of Derby back in September 2003, then sold again by Mercedes-Benz, Leeds in 2007 as a Mercedes Approved Used Car to its owners of almost 15 years, this is actually the first time in this car’s life that it has been sold outside of the main dealer network.
Finished in744 Brilliant Silver with Grey Cloth this C200 Kompressor is in superb condition, and shows none of the rust sometimes associated with the W203 C-Class. Owned by the same family for almost 15 years, the car is in fantastic condition both inside and out, and feels responsive and tight out on the road, in fact the Supercharged performance gives a pretty impressive turn of speed, however equally if driven sympathetically decent fuel consumption can be obtained.
History and documentation are excellent, with 12 stamps in the service book, most from Mercedes Main Dealerships, accompanied by a large A4 Lever Arch file of supporting paperwork to verify the stamps in the book. There are also two working keys and tool kit, first aid kit and warning triangle are all present and correct, while the “Space Saver” spare remains unused.
Unlike its older brothers (the W201 and W202) the W203 C-Class isn’t quite there as a true Classic just yet, however the shape and feel of the W203 has aged very well, and these are a great car to either use every day, or just keep as an occasional use special car. At the end of the day it is a Mercedes-Benz and still feels rather special to drive, however as values of these haven’t risen just yet, nice examples like this represent excellent value for money too.
THE MTSV DIFFERENCE
Unlike some, I don’t just simply go out, buy any old car, give it a good clean, then advertise it for more than the purchase price, disregarding any issues the car may have in the hope the new buyer won’t notice…I just couldn’t do that. The cars I source are carefully selected and I work very hard so that when my cars leave me, I have the satisfaction of knowing they are as good as they possibly can be within the constraints I have.
