This was a 1 Doctor owner from new, originally supplied by Robert Bowett Saab Dealership of Leeds, still with original Dealer Stickers and Plates. The car has lived in Jesmond Newcastle upon Tyne and commuted up and down the A69 to Hexham General Hospital clocking up just 94, 495 miles. The service book shows the first 5 stamps were carried out at Weston Saab in Newcastle. I have spoken to them to see if they continued to service the car after this, however their records don’t go back far enough.
I purchased the car in December last year as I didn’t want it to end up being broken for spares. I was informed the car was dry stored since 2016 and the cars condition reflects this.
The car has been recently restored, mechanically wants for nothing and runs nicely. There are a few minor areas that require cosmetic work. This includes a couple of very small dents/ scuffs and some rust close to the rear wheel arches. These have been temporarily sealed so the vehicle could pass its MOT. These areas are very easy to repair at minimal cost at any body shop. The new owner may also choose to sandblast the wheels as some of them are a little flaky. There is a very small hole in rear of the driver’s seat. Everything else is spot on. The engine bay is very tidy and corrosion free. The inside of the car is very clean and has been well looked after.
Generally a tidy example of the original 9. 3, which is also the very rare 2 litre non turbo. This makes it the simplest and cheapest Saab to own and run.
