An absolutely superb 1984 Yamaha RZV500LC professionally painted in Yamaha America colours as a Kenny Roberts Tribute bike.
The quality of the paintwork is exceptional and extremely accurate down to the Goodyear, Bell helmet and Lectron carbs decals which are lacquered over.
Japanese market machine with the hand built and welded aluminium frame making it over 10kg lighter than the steel framed RD500LC.
Fitted with Jackal period look silencers which make an amazing sound taking you straight back to the 500 Grand Prix grids of the early eighties.
The bike had been standing for nine months so we stripped and rebuilt the carbs with new float needles and gaskets and re balanced.
The fuel tap was serviced and new seals, gaskets and diaphragm fitted along with new spark plugs.
The inside of the fuel tank is perfect and rust free.
The bike runs and rides without fault and starts first time on the kickstart every time.
The wheels have been painted to replicate the finish of the Campagnolo Magnesium wheels fitted at the time on the 500s .
I have done a walk around video of the bike on the workbench and first start up after recommission.
The speedo shows 24102KM ( 15063 Miles) and while we cannot verify the mileage I would think its correct looking at the condition of the chain and sprockets(original fitment), brake discs, handlebar grips etc.
The engine is beautifully quiet with no clutch rattle that can affect these engines.
Pretty much corrosion free and perfect underneath, the rear suspension rocker arm and underslung almost as new. I have taken detail photos with the bodywork removed and happy to send them via WattsApp or email if required.
