Beautifully restored Yamaha XS 1100 Special, US import. 1982.
The previous owner had the bike professionally imported directly from the US, where the bike only had one owner from new.
I have added a picture of the bike when it arrived, so the condition of the bike can be seen on arrival (Last image)showing the bike with the original Custom Bars, the owner decided to upgrade the bars to high quality black Renthal bars, to give the bike a more modern look and feel, although, the bike will come with the original custom bars. No expense was spared in the restoration, with a folder completely full of bills for parts, available with the bike of course.
I have changed the rear shocks for high quality Yamaha ones and (Original shocks will come with the bike too). I completed a full oil service in November last year, i. e. Oil, Oil Filter, New Plugs, and new battery etc. The bike starts perfectly, first time, although, the carbs could do with a clean and reset, as it is currently running a bit rich. This is an opportunity to buy a absolute classic 80's Japanese muscle bike, fully restored and in lovely condition, original XS1100 Special, in this condition are very rare and hard to find. I have had the bike for just under a year, as I always wanted one of these, but am simply not riding it, so it needs to go to either a collector of classic 70's/ 80's Jap bikes, or someone, that will run and cherish the bike as it deserves. I have added a few images supplied to me when the bike was finished after the restoration, showing the original bars, since then, the bike has travelled only 5, 000 miles since these pictures, therefore, it does have a few slight marks as you would expect with a 44 year old original bike!
I have an SD card with a complete catalogue of restoration images, including a folder full of the bills for the parts, along with an original service manual, online PDF.
