This fantastic example of a 1971 Land Rover Series II LWB 109” 12 Seater was the 14th six-cylinder 109” series III to leave the production line and was extensively rebuilt in 2015 by the previous owner, with photograph album to accompany the works carried out.
With the addition of power steering, overdrive and sound proofing, this is an altogether different car to drive than its counterparts, making every day driving in full country style a breeze.
Starts on the button every time and with the diesel conversion is surprisingly economical to run. Fully waxoyled underneath and overall in great condition.
The safari roof was originally designed for Land Rovers operating in the hot tropics, but come a warm British summer’s day it will be just as useful.
The interior seats are very tidy and surprisingly comfortable and with 12 of them there is plenty of room for everyone!
Once brushed off by die hard Land Rover enthusiasts, the momentum for Series IIIs is now gaining a strong following of its own and this early example offers an affordable entry into the world of Land Rover.
