Ex-works Nissan Patrol Repsol rally raid car, this was one of the specially prepared Nissan Spain team for their international rally raid campaign (Dakar, Pharaons, Baja, etc) in the late 80’s.
These cars were very succesfull and achieved some remarkable results, including a Dakar stage win and some international top 5 results in the era of the unbeatable Peugeot team and their so special T16’s.
Technically these cars were very depeloped in comparision with the previous diesel versions and preparation includes a specially prepared 4, 2l 6 cylinder petrol engine with 275hp, special reinforced chassis with coil spring front suspension, KYB adjustable dampers with remote reservoirs (very rare at the time), composite body panels, etc
The car will need restoration, after being so many years with no use. Interior (seats, dashboard, etc) and fuel tank are missing (they would need replacement to be used in competition anyway) but otherwise complete and original.
Very interesting project for Dakar Classic and other classic rally raids, as well as a very interesting collection piece.
