Description

RARELY seen these days, this is my 1976 Triumph 1500TC. These twin carb models were typical of the Triumph brand, offering little pocket rockets which were also idea as 4-door family cars. This delightful old girl has recently come into my possession after emerging from a decent spell of time in dry storage. I am told, maybe 15 years. Maybe a little longer. There is an absolute stack of paperwork with this superb find and it is almost certain that her speedo reading of 41, 000 is correct. There are loads of MoTs dating back to when she was just three-years-old. She did very little in the way of miles for a couple of decades.

She is amazing condition to be fair. She looks as though she has never been welded and quite possibly does not need any. Floor pans are in great condition as is the engine bay and boot. No repairs inside the engine bay. She sounds and feels really sweet in spite of her hibernation period and all gears operate just fine. Brakes are good enough to function but would want looking at after such a period of time. I have not even attempted to give her a good polish - which is what she truly deserves to be fair. Little in the way of rust or rot and actually a very good body for a 70s Triumph. Although her original carpets are faded - yet still practical - the interior is in great condition.

Be quick. How often do you see little gems from the 70s in this sort of condition and for this sort of money. Amogst her vast history file, you will even find her original Passport to Service book stamped up until 1983 with less than 9, 000 miles on the clock. Sadly, I think her guarantee has expired!

My classic cars are motoring antiques. Please do not confuse them with your one-year-old Range Rover. This car, for example, is 46-years-old and so will have quirks and faults in there somewhere. These are not always apparent when buying and selling classics which is what I do. I do not restore them, nor do I pretend that they are concours cars. The majority of them go out as they came in, and I continue to enjoy finding more - a skill which is becoming increasingly difficult as many of you will be aware. They deserve to be taken on as "family pets" and cared for through thick and then. They don't make them any more and demand now out-strips supply. Please bear all this in mind, and enjoy your classic car. I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks, Martin. the details below.
