1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ 4. 0 Sahara manual h/ s tops
My yj puts a smile on my face every time I look at her.
Inside, shes pure 80s styling, the shapes and colours used are from a different era but thats part of her charm too.
YJ's have the lightest steering, the comfiest seats (which are unmarked) and the best visibility of any car I've owned. Theyre a doddle to drive and theres so much torque from the 4. 0 HO engine.
You'll never be short of people waving and wanting to chat about the styling/ capability or how thirsty she must be.
Which brings me on to economy... I dont know what she gets tbh, I fuel her and enjoy the experience you dont get with modern vehicles. Its worth whatever the cost may be. 17mpg perhaps? Probably less with the roof off and you hear the throaty exhaust response and just have to give it another blip of throttle.
She comes with a tan hardtop and a tan soft top as well. I dont have either on, as its garaged when not being driven, but they come with the jeep.
New tyres were put on last year but shes done almost zero miles since.
Will come with 12 months MOT. Currently SORN but its just because shes only used for the warmer months and I grudged paying the tax when I have no intention of driving in poor weather.

New radiator, water pump, temp sender. I've switched to electric fan with much higher cooling capacity but mechanical coupled fan is included in sale.
Leaf spring hangers all in great condition. The only rust is light surface rust, most of it treated with a needler then Fertan and chassis paint to preserve her.
Front axle seals have all been renewed (dont buy a yj if its leaking from front offside axle - pig of a job) and obviously the diff oil has been renewed front and rear. New gaskets used in every instance.
CAD is still in great condition, was serviced at the same time as front axle work, so 4x4 works perfectly but the 4x4 light was on constantly so I unplugged it.
She had lazy capacitors until recently but thats been rectified so she starts first turn of the key every time. No need to wait 10 mins at position 1 while youd rather be driving.
Shes standard aside from a modern stereo, no badly wired in additional spots, no winch, no snorkel nor aftermarket bumpers.
If the asking price isn't met then she will be kept to be enjoyed as she alway has been.
