The Series E announced in October 1938[9] brought a major restyle with a "waterfall" dummy grille, headlights in the wings and the running boards had gone. The car was longer, wider and heavier but the wheelbase was 1-inch (25 mm) shorter at 7 feet 5 inches (2. 26 m). There was also a parcel tray the full width of the dashboard. The "alligator" bonnet was now rear hinged.
Craner Classics are delighted to offer this beautiful example of a Morris 8 Series E four door sliding head saloon finished in black paintwork with a hand painted gold exterior coach line.
The car presents with a mirror like glass shine to the paintwork all round and has excellent chromework.
The engine and gearbox are in excellent running order and the car is powered by a 12-volt battery.
The original bakerlite window surrounds and dashboard are all present and correct and in excellent condition too.
The car is fitted with a stainless-steel exhaust system and new tyres including the spare have also been fitted recently. It also comes complete with the buff logbook and owner’s manual.
The car also been fully rewired for complete peace of mind and added safety.
Quality carpets have been fitted with leather effect edging.
This is a very desirable car not only due to its amazing condition but also because it’s very easy to store in a garage.
The car has been very well looked after and this is evident when inspecting the vehicle.
Early inspection of this vehicle is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
