1970 MK1 Transit just in from sunny South Africa. All vat and duty paid and NOVa declaration is done. We will fill out all the paperwork for the new owner to register it in their name. Its really scruffy looking but underneath on the floors are very solid and original.
Body - MK1 Transit SWB - Van started life as a minibus but has had the windows filled in but apertures are still there. The floors are solid and it doesnt appear to have been welded. Inner wings are very good, sills, steps are all good. Pillars are good, Doors are good. Someone has butchered the tunnel a bit to make the V6 fit so this will need sorting. The arches and paintwork were possibly done at the blind spraypainters school. Great starting point for a project as its not a rotter. Rear wheel arch tubs look to have been modified. Not sure if its for the bigger wheels?
Mechanics - 3. 0 v6 in place but no carb on it so we have no idea of the condition of the engine or any of the drivetrain.
Interior - Will all need redone as very scruffy
Wheels - Wide steels which would have a use but probably not on this unless you keot a wider arch.
Horribly scruffy old van but apart from the tunnel its extremely solid. Please feel free to come and see the van. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. please ask for a quote.
