Description
HERE is yet another 1980s vehicle from my very own classic car stable. As ever, my prices offer what arguably may be the best value for money classics in the UK. My business has celebrated 15 years of successfully sourcing antique vehicles and then re-homing them with their happy new owners. So now, here is my 1980 MGB Roadster in stunning condition and probably as good as any of this vintage anywhere in the UK.
Fully stamped up in her original Passport to Service book all the way to just under 50k and then professionally maintained on behalf of my friend for the following 7, 000 miles. I only recently acquired it from him, knowing that he has enjoyed faultless motoring with it during the past few years.
Body panels and paintwork are superb as is the interior and the structure of the vehicle. Its history reveals that it was treated to a Slark racing head when just one year old as well as an AE6714 touring camshaft and other racing goodies (I hope I have got that right!). Also up-rated front suspension with red springs. I know one thing, it is the best rubber bumper roadster I have driven!
It's just my opinion but I think that the black bodywork works best of all following the change from chrome to rubber bumpers. Probably because there is a continuity there and they do not jump out at you as they do from say, a yellow or a white car.
She has up-market leather seats too and a great good. She's a joy to drive with perfectly working overdrive on 3rd and 4th.
My classic cars are motoring antiques. Please do not confuse them with your one-year-old Range Rover. This car, for example, is 42-years-old and so will have quirks and faults in there somewhere. These are not always apparent when buying and selling classics which is what I do. I do not restore them, nor do I pretend that they are concours cars. The majority of them go out as they came in, and I continue to enjoy finding more - a skill which is becoming increasingly difficult as many of you will be aware. They deserve to be taken on as "family pets" and cared for through thick and then. They don't make them any more and demand now out-strips supply. Please bear all this in mind, and enjoy your classic car. I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks, Martin. the details below.
