1997 VW Vento CL, genuine 37, 700 miles, only 2 owners from new including myself. Registered 24 May 1997. Latest Phase 3 model.

Bought by myself in Oct 2020, dry stored and not driven since.
This Vento was specified as an easy-to-drive and own comfortable car by the original owner and to be free of breakable electric parts, to the extent that upon ordering the car has no radio (fitted with VW factory blanking plate), windows immaculately converted to manually winding, manually-adjustable wing mirrors, and the sunroof cover is still wrapped in the dealership protective plastic sheath. The outer sunroof seal still has the flocking (felt finish) in perfect condition. Automatic gear selector still lights up. Wheel wells are immaculate as shown in pictures. The original factory protective wax can be seen in the wheel wells and even on the engine as shown also. All bolts are immaculate and still bright with factory yellow zinc anodising.
I bought the car as an VW enthusiast and mechanic and to store it in great condition for the future. In my ownership i've changed the original timing belt for Genuine VW timing belt and tensioner, as well as an oil change with Mann filter. Brand new NOS Votex Vento rear mudflaps have been sourced from Germany and fitted, as one was missing.
Sadly my circumstances have changed so the car is up for sale and will be sorely missed! I've owned several VW Mk3 Golfs so am familiar with the platform, and this car feels and still smells brand new.
During its 23-year ownership by an elderly lady driver the car has received a few parking scrapes and dings, however this can be easily remedied by a new owner on a car well worth the effort. The MOT has lapsed as the car has been in dry storage, however a new MOT will be put on the car for the new owner if required.
